Mid July the village swells to more than six times its normal population when it hosts the Fete Patronale of Sainte Elidie, and celebrates with a weekend packed full of activities and entertainment. From mediaeval trumpeters heralding a march from the tiny chapel at the edge of the forest, into the village.
Throughout the weekend, a funfair, concert and open air dancing in the village square provide a festive atmosphere and the festival is climaxed by a torchlit procession around the village for the children, culminating in an impressive fireworks display. A late night disco provides an opportunity for villagers, friends and visitors to mingle and let off some steam and brings the fete to a close.
